So it's been a while... | Website Update

Remember that time when I said that, at the very least, I would keep up to date with the backlog reports if I coudn't find time to write about anything else? This came at the start of my final year of university, when I was somewhat optimistic about how I'd manage my time... That went well, didn't it?

Yeah... things didn't go exactly the way I expected, and I ended up more or less forgetting about the website entirely. Turns out the final year of a degree can get quite busy. That wasn't the only thing that kept me away, however.

During the last couple months of 2021 I had been working on a new project, something completely out of my comfort zone, but also an idea that I have been wanting to explore for quite some time now.

So now I present this, my first ever video review for a game called Spirit of the North, uploaded to YouTube not long before Christmas. It was quite an experience making it. I hadn't done much narration beforehand, and while I had some video editing experience, making this ended up being a real challenge.

All in all though, I'm pretty proud of it, and at the time of writing this, I'm currently making a second video. I don't exactly have any major plans for this channel, other than to make videos for indie games that I feel deserve some kind of special showcase. We'll see how it goes.

I've still got a lot of university work left to do, and I'm going to be even more busy for the coming months, but that doesn't mean I'll be abandoning the site again. On the contrary, I have quite a few things on the way, ranging from reviews for games like Guardians of the Galaxy, to other feature posts talking about the recently announced Mario Kart 8 DLC, my controversial gaming opinions, as well as additional backlog reports, and more.

I'm not going to make any definitive statements as to when these will come out, but some of the ideas mentioned above are already in the works, and I'll be posting a few reviews very soon. Even if the gaps between articles are large, I won't be ignoring the website again. Until then, stay tuned and stay safe.
